Camp Staff:

Alex Williams

Founder of Alex Williams Rugby Camps for Women, Alex represented the USA on the Women's National Team, the Eagles, for 10 years and 3 World Cups, including 2 years as Captain. She retired from International play in 2004 to start a family. Alex is currently the Head coach of the Pacific Coast Grizzly Women's All-Star team and an assistant coach for the Women's National Team and perennially powerful women's club team, the Berkeley All-Blues. Alex began her rugby career in college, playing for Radcliffe Rugby, and stayed in Boston for 10 years, playing for Beantown. In 2000, she moved to California and rounded out her club career playing for the Berkeley All-Blues. She is a back row and lock specialist and is a USA Rugby Certfied Coach.

Lisa M. Bartoli, D.O., M.S.

Lisa Bartoli DO is the Team Doctor for the US Women’s Rugby Team and the New York Rugby Team. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Bartoli has further fellowship training in interventional spine care and sports medicine. Her practice includes medical acupuncture, osteopathic manual therapy, and musculoskeletal medicine with a special focus on rehabilitation of women’s sports injuries. Dr Bartoli is Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is Clinical Adjunct Professor at The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr Bartoli lectures widely on musculoskeletal medicine, sports medicine, and on her approach as a team physician.

Lois Bukowski

Lois has been involved in rugby for almost 20 years, starting her
career at UPenn, currently in her role as a Pacific Coast B-Panel
Referee.  She spent most of her playing career with the All Blues,
winning 7 National Championships, netting MVP honors in one.  She
enjoyed Pacific Coast Grizzly ball as well as pulling on the USA
jersey for a short time.  Lois has also acted as an Assistant Coach
for the U-23 Grizzlies in the recent past. Presently, she referees
men and women locally, territorially as well as the occasional
National assignment.  She will be certified as a Level 3 referee this

Laura Cabrera

A longtime Eagle, Laura just competed in the 2006 Women's Rugby World Cup, in which the Eagles placed 5th, with a 4-1 record. She has played the last 6 years for the Berkeley All-Blues and with the Little Rock women prior to that. In addition, Laura has represented the USA in international 7's competition, including the famed Hong Kong 7's, and is a former MVP of the 7's National All-Star Championship. She has played most of her career at wing and fullback and is also a strength and conditioning specialist.

Jen Crawford

Known as one of the greatest backs in Eagle history, Jen Crawford played center and fullback through a stellar career, including 3 World Cups. Recently elected to Stanford's Rugby Hall of Fame, Jen played most of her club career with the All-Blues. A former Eagle captain, she shifted her focus to coaching upon retiring from active play. She is the Backs Coach for the Pacific Coast Grizzly Women's All-Star team, an Assistant Coach for the Women's National Team and the All-Blues, and the former Head Coach of the Piedmont High School Girls team. Jen is a USA Rugby Certified Coach.

Jen Crouse

The current Eagles captain, Jen led the WNT to 4 victories in the recent Women's Rugby World Cup. She began her career while in college at UConn, and has played clubside rugby with Beantown and the Berkeley All-Blues. She is a commanding presence in lineouts, towering over her opposition, and a cornerstone of the Eagle pack from her lock position.

Ashley English

The current Eagle fullback, Ashley recently returned from the 2006 Women's Rugby World Cup. An Eagle for 6 years, she has dominated the opposition with powerful running and tenacious defense. A former MVP of both the 15's and 7's National All-Star Championships, she began her career at Carleton College, in Minnesota. Her entire club career has been played with the All-Blues.

Kathy Flores

Currently the Head Coach of the Women's National Team, Kathy has had an exemplary career as both a coach and a player. She played many years at 8 and scrumhalf for the powerful Florida State club before moving across the country for a stint at hooker with the All-Blues. A former Eagle captain, Kathy played in 2 World Cups, including the 1991 event, which the USA won. After retiring from play, she took on coaching duties for the All-Blues, leading them to 9 more National Champioship wins. She has also coached Cal Women's Rugby and the Pacific Coast Grizzly Women. Kathy is a USA Rugby Certified Coach.

Liz Kirk

Another former Eagle, Liz's strength and technique at prop were unparalleled. She represented the USA for many years and played in 2 World Cups. A former International athlete in Judo, Liz began her rugby career in Albany and then anchored the Seattle team for many years. She currently coaches the Seattle women, is the Forwards Coach for the U23 National Team and is an Assistant Coach for the Women's National Team.

Willy Lenzner

While relatively new to rugby, Willy has spent his career in equally demanding sports, including football, triathlons and mixed martial arts. Owner of his own training business, he has worked with elite athletes in both strength & conditioning and mental preparation and brings a strong skill set in both arenas to our camp.

Jane Mitchell

A transplanted International, Jane played fullback for England and Great Britain from 1987 to 1997. She competed in 2 World Cups, helping England to victory in the 1994 Cup. Following a move to the US, Jane took the field for the All-Blues and played in eleven consecutive National Championship finals, primarily at inside center. She also proudly represented the U.S. at the prestigious Hong Kong 7's event in 1999 and 2000.
